Lou Tartaglia has three goals: to tell Mother Teresa's story, to abstract clear lessons from her life serving the world's poor, and to give listeners a chance to hear Mother Teresa for themselves. Fortunately, these purposes overlap, and Tartaglia accomplishes all of them well. Some of the excerpts of Mother Teresa speaking in public have poor sound quality, and there is a fair amount of repetition. However, the repetition makes sense as Mother Teresa taught the same lessons of love and devotion to everyone. Her compassion, and her sense of humor, come through in these recordings, as does the love of those who worked with her, like Father Scolozzi. G.T.B.
