THE INNER VOICE OF LOVE A Journey Through Anguish to Freedom

These 63 journal entries express the author's deep despair just after he left academia to become pastor of a residential community of impaired people in Toronto. His anguish grew from a deep neediness that an important friendship stirred up and then failed to satisfy. The interruption of this friendship led to a loneliness that the author eventually realized could only be fulfilled by God. The evenhanded reading by Franciscan priest Murray Bodo follows the author's delicate movement from dark to light, despair to hope, emotional loss to spiritual re-awakening.
