DON'T BELIEVE YOUR LYING EYES

A room in a storage facility is opened 18 years after it was first rented, revealing mummified remains. Twelve hours later three people are dead, the remains are stolen from the morgue, and reporter/sleuth Darryl Billups begins hunting for answers. Marc Damon Johnson is the narrator of this entertaining whodunit set in Baltimore. The characters are primarily African- American, cutting a broad cross section of education, social status, and age. This enables Johnson to present an extraordinary display of vocal range as he reveals the nuanced and artful voices of contemporary African- Americans. P.R.
