CHESTY The Story of Lieutenant General Lewis B. Puller, USMC

by | Read by Michael Prichard

Biography & Memoir • 27 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2001

Lieutenant General Puller is the icon of the Corps, a Marine's Marine, and legends about this hero who was awarded five Navy Crosses and whose career stretched from World War I to the Cold War are infinite. A man of dogged tenacity who possessed some of the flamboyance of his distant cousin, General George S. Patton, is presented by fellow Marine Hoffman, who strips away much of the icon and presents us with a man no less remarkable as a warrior. Michael Prichard's smooth baritone and inflection are almost incongruous with such a rough subject. However, his performance is more than satisfactory. M.T.F.
