JUSTICE LEAGUE In Darkest Night

by | Read by Erik Bergmann

Young Adult • 2 hrs. • Abridged • © 2003

Erik Bergmann and a team of stealthy sound engineers bring to life this super-hero adventure in which John Stewart (Green Lantern) is kidnapped and his memory stolen by a race wanting to enlist him as their savior. Trapped with no memory on an alien planet, John finds that he IS the savior to his captors. Effective sound effects and music help convey the sense of adventure in this story, with a loud stereophonic rocket-blast separating scenes. Bergmann's use of voice is wonderful, with tight, clear narration, and well-differentiated characters. Comic fans expecting interplay between members of the Justice League may be disappointed, as no League members other than Green Lantern appear prominently, and even he isn't quite himself. S.E.S.
