Fullilove's political thriller is orchestrated around a conspiracy to frame Richard Whelan, national security advisor and an African-American, for murder and espionage to keep him from disclosing an insidious plot to provoke a nuclear war between India and Pakistan. On the lam, Whelan attempts to prevent global disaster while he himself is in mortal danger from friend and foe alike. Rising TV and film actor Marc D. Johnson narrates. It is clear early into the first side that he doesn't know how. His clumsiness may work for him, however, in that some find that quality intimate and endearing. Y.R.
