This collection of a dozen extemporaneous talks about Zen Buddhism looks at its philosophy and practice. Jakusho Kwong, who has been practicing Zen for nearly fifty years and is successor to the famed Shunryu Suzuki, has a calm, relaxed tone. While he takes time for listeners to understand his subject, these are not talks geared to novices. The philosophical points are not simple, and there is no introduction to the concepts. Those with a firm grounding in Zen philosophy will find much of value in these talks, but beginners should abstain from this program until they've learned the basics.
