Though not an audiobook narrator by profession, Timmerman is creditable in delivering the sometimes shocking, always compelling content of his book. Perhaps the only weakness in his narration is the occasional edge in his voice that betrays personal bias. Few would begrudge him this stance, considering the scenarios he reveals--a new spate of anti-Semitism in Europe and the United States; various stripes of Arabic fundamentalists fomenting this very distasteful concept as a precept to violence; and the impassive response of much of the world press, as well as its population. However, Timmerman's claims are sometimes tainted by his hectoring. Despite this flaw, Preachers of Hate spotlights a serious global problem. D.J.B.
