CATCH THE RABBIT

Sara is on a journey. Called out of the blue by Lejla, Sara leaves her life behind to help her oldest friend and ultimate foil. Tanya Cubric is a fine narrator; vocally, her style is colorful and authentic, although her pacing sometimes accelerates at random, leaving the listener scrambling to keep up. Translated from Serbo-Croatian, this novel is often lyrical and arresting. Many descriptions are distinctive and sparkle as delivered in Cubric's graceful tone. Dialogue, however, has a strained air to it, which may be caused by language differences.
