DRIFT HOUSE

DRIFT HOUSE is an old-fashioned fantasy, with evil mermaids, good-guy pirates, and a house that floats on the Sea of Time. The story is delivered with great good humor and charm by Richard Poe, whose rich baritone enhances its multilayers. Susan, Charles, and Murray are sent to Canada from New York City after 9/11. They arrive at Drift House and meet its owner, Uncle Farley, who can't explain how things get done when they never see any staff or why the house suddenly seems to have washed out to sea.
