FATHER GILBERT MYSTERIES 4, TWO EPISODES The Silver Cord and In Memorium

These two Father Gilbert mysteries emphasize the religious aspect of the series. In THE SILVER CORD his mother warms him of a crime she learns of during near-death experiences; in IN MEMORIAM, after investigating the identity of a mysterious young woman (no crime being involved), he must deal with a crisis of faith. The acting, production, music, and sound effects are thoroughly professional; these could be the audio tracks of network television shows. The religious and mystical aspects might put off skeptics but aren't really outside the mainstream. Overall, the stories intrigue and entertain, though by the end of the second program, Father Gilbert's family secrets begin to seem preposterous.
