ESCAPE WITH H.G. WELLS

”Escape,” a popular old-time radio series, specialized in fantasy or horror radio plays, both original and classic. This anthology contains six episodes based on short and long tales by H.G. Wells. Here we have "Pollack and the Porrah Man," "The Country of the Blind, "Jimmy Goggles, God," “The Time Machine,” "A Dream of Armageddon," and “The Man Who Could Work Miracles.” Not all are of equal quality or equally faithful to the original. All err on the melodramatic side, and most tend to blunt or totally ignore the author's intent.
