SWIMMING LESSONS

As a sequel to the bestseller THE BEACH HOUSE, SWIMMING LESSONS finds Toy Sooner no longer a pregnant teenager, but a young mother, college graduate, and aquarist. Toy is setting up a hospital for injured turtles, finding passion in her new career and the handsome biologist she works with. However, events of the summer take a turn for Toy and her fellow "turtle ladies." As read by the author, this audiobook is interesting but flawed. Monroe's narration is passionate, reflecting her connection with the characters. However, her accents and voices are at times inconsistent, often making it difficult to identify who is speaking.
