After a deadly plane crash, Avery Daniels wakes up in the hospital entirely bandaged, with everyone believing she is Carole Rutledge, the wife of a popular politician. Plastic surgeons, in restoring her, even give her Carole's face. When she decides to take up Carole's privileged life, she discovers that someone has plans to assassinate her "husband," whom she has come to love, and now she must risk her own life to save him. Perhaps other narrators provide more distinct vocal characterizations, but Audie Award winner Dick Hill excels in adding depth and intensity to the story, which greatly heighten the pleasure for the listener.
