One of the great horror classics of the nineteenth century, Stevenson's haunting tale is anything but forgettable. The mysterious relationship between the respectable Henry Jekyll and the odious Edward Hyde gives rise to suspicions that unfold into the unthinkable conclusion: the duality of person. English actor Michael Kitchen gives a compelling narration. He speaks in measured tones, and his austere style is aptly suited for the account of the curious case. When speaking as the characters, Kitchen adeptly shifts his voice without being overly dramatic. His icy depiction of Hyde is especially chilling.
