Beth Richmond portrays the cheeky, laugh-out-loud personalities of globe-trotting engineer Hetta Coffa and her friend, Jan. When Hetta discovers that her boyfriend has gone to Kuwait, canceling their vacation plans, she accepts a job in Baja, Mexico, in retaliation, and asks Jan along. Richmond perfectly renders the pair's lack of ability to navigate any mode of transportation, let alone Hetta's yacht. She matches voice to mood when Hetta hires a handsome seafaring captain, more for his "eye candy" appeal than his navigational skills, without suspecting the captain’s own hidden agenda. Richmond characterizes their hilarious exploits—from finding dead bodies in the most unlikely places to surviving perilous hurricanes, dangerous illegal aliens, and even threatening whales before they reach Baja.
