British actor Simon Jones employs distinct voices for the many characters and uses, not always successfully, American accents for Erec and friends to distinguish them from the inhabitants of the magical kingdom. He switches easily from the deep rumble of a threatening minotaur to the high, wispy voice of a frail king, keeping the listener interested in his narration despite the predictable story.
