JUDAS CHILD

Forensic psychologist Ali Cray and small-town cop Rouge work to solve the disappearance of two 10-year-old girls. The case has eerie similarities to the murder of Rouge's twin sister 15 years earlier in that the killer used one girl (the Judas child) to lure the other. The long and complicated story has no end of strange characters. Erika Leigh deftly portrays an ineffectual psychic, one missing girl's overbearing mother, the priest wrongfully convicted for the first murder, and others. The interaction between the two missing girls is particularly well portrayed. Too many coincidences mar the story’s believability, but those who like psychological suspense should listen up.
