THE DEMON HEADMASTER TAKES OVER

When there is movement again at the old lab near her home, Dinah goes to investigate. Nothing seems disturbed, but Dinah is worried that her old nemesis, the Demon Headmaster, has returned. At first no one believes her, but when all the adults at the university start acting weirdly, when books are being removed from all libraries, when suddenly curiosity and inquisitiveness are wrong, Dinah and her friends must investigate and do what they can. Judy Bennett narrates this tale with humor, building the suspense to the inevitable crisis. She uses a wide variety of pitch and emotion to portray the many children's voices. Keeping the adult voices different from those of the children, although not as distinguishable, Bennett ably steers us to the inevitable, but still satisfying, end of this fun-filled story.
