BIRD'S-EYE VIEW

Fritz Tullis, history professor and amateur photographer, has retreated to his family's estate in southern Maryland, where he watches birds and indulges in nature until the fateful day he witnesses a murder, which he captures on film. Gregory Harrison takes the listener through Tullis's investigation into the murder, which involves his own neighbor. Never losing the plot line, Harrison draws the characters closer and closer to the listener with his low voice and intense performance. As the adventure and danger heat up, so does Harrison's emotional narration. Music plays on and off throughout the story, enhancing the tension and the intrigue, and the startling conclusion leaves the listener rooting for the good guys. M.B.K.
