DEATH IS NOW MY NEIGHBOUR

by | Read by Terrence Hardiman

Mystery & Suspense • 8.9 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1996

Chief Inspector Morse and Sergeant Lewis find themselves in the midst of university politics and scandal while trying to solve the murder of a young woman, Rachel James. Terrence Hardiman expertly performs the parts of the detecting duo, as well as those of several suspects. Hardiman vocalizes the range of Morse's many moods, from arrogant to vulnerable. The listener can't help but smile at Morse's exasperation when he groans, "Loo-whiss!" at many points during the investigation. Hardiman gives Morse and Lewis such life that this reviewer did not want the story to end. As always, Morse solves the crime, but at least it takes eight cassettes of pure enjoyment. K.M.B.
