THE KISS

Isabelle Forrester is taking care of her terminally ill son, Teddy, and her emotionally abusive husband, Gordon, when she meets Bill Robinson, a political "power broker," at a party. Over the years they talk on the phone and become great friends until the day when Bill convinces Isabelle to go to London to see an art exhibit. When their limousine is hit by a bus, their lives change forever. Joseph Siravo starts this story slowly and is quite detached from the characters and events at first. As the narrative progresses, so does Siravo's emotional involvement in the lives of Isabelle, Bill, and all the people whose lives they touch.
