If you've seen Dennis Miller on "Monday Night Football" telecasts or his own cable program, you know what you're in for here--sarcastic, profane, comic essays on the contemporary scene. To Miller, the world is a stupid place filled with stupid creatures. Only he and his audience have any sense. Like many other stand-up comedians who have turned to audiobooks, he suffers without a live audience, tending to rush a bit and play at one aggressive level.
