WILL POWER

Detective Sergeant Kate Power is charmingly old-fashioned, yet very likable, as she and her married lover grapple with morality. In the meantime, a nasty, rich old lady is murdered, and there is no shortage of suspects, but clever Kate doesn't jump to an obvious conclusion. Cutler literally takes us behind the scenes as the complex story is unraveled. Relationships, both personal and professional, between an array of believable and appealing characters are introduced by Patricia Gallimore. Particularly noteworthy is how clearly and convincingly the many internal dialogues and asides are presented.
