CHOPPING SPREE

The eleventh in the Goldy series is packed with Diane Mott Davidson staples--fun, food, and foul play. Goldilocks Catering--"Where everything is just right"--is suddenly the hot ticket in Aspen Meadow, and everywhere that Goldy goes murder is sure to follow. When a body is found with one of Goldy's new knives sticking out of its middle, her assistant and trusted friend, Julian, is the prime suspect. CHOPPING SPREE challenges fans of the audio series to accept a new narrator for Goldy, and Joyce Bean doesn't disappoint. Her hysteria mounts as Goldy fortifies herself with four-shot espresso lattés--to calm her nerves--and her characterization of teenaged son Arch is annoyingly adolescent.
