SLEEPING PARTNERS

by | Read by Christopher Kay

Mystery & Suspense • 6.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1995

Susannah Farrar decided to make her pregnancy pay, and ten years later she is beginning to regret it. When she turns up murdered after a concert in which one of the alleged fathers performed, the local constabulary investigates the young mother's motivations and lifestyle. Christopher Kay's dry tones fit naturally with this British mystery. A light touch on most of the characterizations harmonizes well with the brief appearances of heavily performed bit players. Too many personal plot lines confuse the basic story, but Kay keeps most of them straight. While we don't much care whodunit, we do listen intently to learn the fate of Susannah's adorable, and adorably performed, son. R.P.L. (c) AudioFile 2002, Portland, Maine [Published: DEC 02/ JAN 03]
