INVASION OF PRIVACY

by | Read by Laural Merlington

Mystery & Suspense • 14 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2001

Lake Tahoe attorney Nina Reilly doesn’t like her client much. Terry London is an opportunist filmmaker whose documentary about a missing girl has raised the ire of the girl’s distraught family. Laural Merlington delivers an effective, if at times stiff, reading of the second O’Shaughnessy novel, in which the tables turn, with Nina’s client becoming a murder victim and a man from Nina’s past becoming the prime suspect. The characters are engaging and the plot effective. O’Shaughnessy’s depiction of a single woman fighting a male-dominated world is believable and insightful without a hint of preachiness.
