MURDER AT GETTYSBURG

In the summer of 1863, Rebel soldiers are pushing their way north into south-central Pennsylvania. As 26-year-old April Wolff returns from helping a neighbor, she sees Southern troops reprovisioning at a nearby farm and arrives home to find that her father has been murdered. Blind housekeeper Tillie, whose ears are sharp, is sure she heard an officer's clinking sword. Could a Rebel general be the murderer? Strong-willed April starts off with wagon and mules to find her father's killer but learns that looking for a murderer at Gettysburg is like looking for a politician in Washington. Murder is everywhere, although most people call it war. Ed Sala is at his gruff-voiced best in bringing a whole army of men to life.
