COLD LIGHT

Ron Keith's dramatic portrayal of English detective Charles Resnick adds dimension to this tale of kidnapping and murder. Listeners are treated to a fascinating study of a psychopath who enjoys playing "cat and mouse" with his victims and the police before committing murder. Too few clues make Resnick, not a Sam Spade or Phillip Marlow-type character, and his associates use all their powers of detection to find their colleague before it's too late. Reading the various characters, Keith uses a wide range of accents, dialects and emphasis. His depiction of the female characters is well done, bringing a pleasant, not strained, feminine tone to them.
