Narrator Joe Hempel buoyantly portrays Frank Butcher, package delivery guy, as he makes his favorite stop of the day--the last one-- which is where "hot" cancer doctor Gabriella "Gabby" Perez works. Hempel's Butcher goes from cocky to shocked when he's almost killed by a bomb from factions fighting about magic. Dr. Perez saves him by using a golden artifact. Hempel convincingly portrays a gutsy British grandma wizard and Butcher's mom, who's as feisty and outspoken as he is. Listeners will feel that Butcher is sharing the action like a friend.
