SCORCHED CONTINENT 1 Steal the Sky

Detan Honding, a crafty con man, and his sidekick, Tibs, are assigned to steal an airship piloted by exiled Commodore Thratia. Terence Aselford narrates this steampunk adventure with polish and aplomb. His narration is supplemented by sound effects and contributions from a large cast. The narrative and dialogue are interwoven seamlessly as the story moves from the ship to the city of Aransa, to the con men heroes--one of whom has a doppelganger, and to the law enforcers. The cast adopt a wide variety of accents, all easily understood and perfect for steampunk. Listeners must suspend their disbelief as magic runs rampant in this futuristic world where everyone has a reason for wanting Detan dead and his ship gone.
