Even though Isabel Dalhousie is now a new mother, she can't help getting involved with a matchmaker friend who is concerned about the safety and suitability of a match she recently made. Davina Porter does exceptional work as the narrator. Her subtle differentiation of voices means that the story flows smoothly, and her exceptional delivery makes it easy for her to hold the listener's attention during some of Isabel's somewhat rambling internal monologues. Those new to the Sunday Philosophy Club series may find this a difficult spot to enter, but they're sure to appreciate this perfect pairing of narrator and storyteller nonetheless.
