THE YEARBOOK COMMITTEE

Five Australian teens in Year 12 at a private school are unwillingly thrown together and tasked with creating a yearbook. Narrators Eloise Mignon and Tim Potter successfully meet the challenge of making Charlie, Tammi, and Gillian (the girls) and Ryan and Matty (the boys) distinct as their story is told through their shifting points of view. Together, the narrators slowly expose the layers of each character, letting listeners hear their unique voices and see their struggles, dreams, and challenges as they become friends who can count on each other. The Australian accents, fast-paced speech, and slang of this audiobook take some getting used to, but listeners will be engaged by these teens and their lives.
