FINAL JUSTICE

by | Read by Philip Bosco

Mystery & Suspense • 6 hrs. • Abridged • © 2003

Aside from his military novels, Griffin also writes police procedurals. This one features Matt Payne, a newly promoted sergeant in Homicide. Wealthy and politically connected, Payne has better luck getting his man than keeping his women. His cases involve a fast food outlet shooting in which a cop dies, a rape murder, and a visiting actor for whom he provides security. Rough language and action scenes abound. Philip Bosco's husky and forthright delivery is easy to listen to and adds credence to a contrived plot. He keeps all the characters straight and, best of all, convinces one that this is how a big city police department works. J.B.G. (c) AudioFile 2003, Portland, Maine [Published: OCT/ NOV 03]
