Battling icebergs and Napoleonic plots, Captain Drinkwater charts an exciting and informative course in Greenland waters. His appealing nature is sympathetically enacted by Sinden who also steers deftly among the other personalities and dialects of the cast. The occasional verbose explanations of whaling or meteorological technology are enhanced by his lively reading. He imparts a sense of excited discovery to even the most minute observations.
