CRITICAL MASS

Jay O. Sanders has a narrating personality all his own. He doesn't sound like the distinguished stage and film actor he is. Rather, he sounds like a regular guy who has turned off the football game to read to his buds. His reading persona adds warmth and intimacy to Steve Martini's thriller in which a plucky female attorney unites with a courageous Dutchman to thwart nuclear terrorists. Martini benefits from such help, as his intriguing plots far outshine his hackneyed dialogue and uni-dimensional characters. Sanders fills in for him here with unfaltering zest.
