For this exasperating but lovable boy, Spider McDrew, every day is an adventure. Admittedly, his mind wanders, but he means well. Stephen Perring does a great job with Spider's mother's deep sighs as he messes up yet again. Spider really is a hopeless case, as she says repeatedly. Perring is also excellent as Spider's frustrated teacher. Perring's hilarious rendition makes the listener glad Ritalin was invented and extremely sympathetic toward anyone who knows a child like this. A.G.H.
