When the ne'er-do-well son of an English gentleman, Creighton Brown, is shipped off by his mother to his uncle's care in America, a turn of events lands him, alone and arrogant, a job in the print shop of Benjamin Franklin in Louisiana. The year is 1777, and the British have won the war. George Washington is missing and feared dead. Narrator Jeff Woodman adds subtlety to an alternative history full of twists and suspense. He can switch from British to French to American characters with distinct accents and personal flare.
