Verner seems to be having fun using a variety of accents and voices for a myriad of characters: villains in China, not-so-bright actors, and a few politicians. He shapes a hit man's personality with a steady evil tone while expanding the range of voices for Ian and Margo. Book 2 of this series in which art imitates life offers a fast, fun ride.
