When a master chef is found frozen to death in the walk-in freezer during a house party, in the best Agatha Christie tradition everybody in the house will turn out to have a motive and opportunity for killing him except the one revealed as the killer in the end. Posadas doesn't come close to Christie's finesse; the book's structure is a mess, and she forgets to make any of the characters likable. Still, this is fun if you don't mind not believing a word of it. Bernadette Dunn does a charming job with the multinational cast of characters. Too bad Posadas keeps interrupting the chef before he reveals his secret recipes. B.G.
