DAY OF INFAMY

This is a meticulous re-creation of the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the United States' entrance into World War II. The fast-paced narrative comes from both American and Japanese records and eyewitness accounts of survivors from both sides. It's as exciting as any spy or espionage novel--the author makes the day come alive for us. Richard Poe provides excellent narration. His purely American voice and inflection are perfect for telling where people were and what they were doing on Sunday morning, December 7, 1941. The production is up to the usual high standards of Recorded Books, a company to count on for superb unabridged texts.
