Batwing Castle has its share of eccentric characters, and Daniel Hill keeps each one lively and funny as they search for hidden riches. Wilkin T. Wilkins is a nasty rich boy, and Molly is a poor girl wanting to find the treasure to help her family. These are perfect ingredients for a juicy conflict. Wilkin and Molly meet a French chef who's been turned into a vampire and Cyril, a deceased servant who has made it his death's work to help would-be victims. Hill's accent adds zing as he cracks lots of French puns and jokes. An added bonus is a little "lesson" that reminds kids to help others despite how they're sometimes treated. A gem! S.G.B.
