This production includes "The Frog Prince," "Puss 'N' Boots," and "Jack and the Beanstalk." The first two stories are garden-variety retellings, but "Jack" is an expanded version in which the curious reader's questions are answered: Where did Jack's father disappear to? Why would Jack be so foolish as to trade a cow for some beans? The "dream time" in the title could refer to narrator Julie Just's whispery presentation, which, backed by ethereal music, sounds like an invitation to sleep well when the stories are done. J.C.G.
