DEATH ON THE RIVER WALK

A 60-something ex-reporter goes to San Antonio to look for a friend's missing granddaughter. The girl turns up, but Henrie O. sticks around to solve two murders and a jewel theft centering on an exclusive Mexican art shop. Reading does well with all the Spanish words and capably brings out Henrie O.'s intelligence, tenacity and resourcefulness. (Actually, she's a bit of a busybody.) However, her voice doesn't sound old enough for a senior citizen. Ah, for Joan Hickson!
