Narrator Alexander Cendese is a great match for smart, arrogant Miami defense attorney Tatum Graham. Disillusioned by his success at getting a guilty client off, Graham returns to his hometown in Utah and becomes a prosecutor. When a teenage girl in the Hallows, an isolated park area, is murdered, Cendese's tone and tempo are in sync with the investigation that follows. He does a good job with the male voices, particularly Tatum's ailing father, but is somewhat less successful with the female characters. The story reflects both sides of the courtroom--the defense and the prosecution. Here is a well-written book turned into a highly entertaining listen.
