DEPARTURES AND ARRIVALS

Travel writer Eric Newby relates his many stories of treks around the world but also includes childhood and family memories. Andrew Sachs narrates these various episodes as the author's kindred spirit. Whether it be the streets of India, opal mines in Australia, the Great Wall and Forbidden City in China, or Newby's trials of chasing down his baby's food on a European journey, Sachs entertains and fascinates us with a cohesive, connected narration.
