BLUEBERRY MUFFIN MURDER

Suzanne Toren delivers a solid reading of the third installment in Fluke's series set in quaint Lake Eden, Minnesota. Bakery owner Hannah Swensen investigates the murder of a nasty cooking show host who dies while using Swenson's bakery for a TV shoot. The bakery, a crime scene, has to be closed just as Swenson is busily baking muffins for the annual Lake Eden winter festival. The detective on the case, an occasional boyfriend, issues a stern warning not to meddle, which Hanna and her sidekick sister promptly ignore. Hannah's other love interest looks good for the crime, but the prime suspect is a childhood friend who worked for the victim. Danger abounds. Pastry recipes are sprinkled throughout.
