THE ART OF MURDER

The listener will hang onto narrator Humphrey Bower's every word in this gripping psychological thriller, well suited to audio. Bower's Nick Kelly sounds like everybody's idea of a media-happy tough-guy NYPD detective as he investigates a string of murders. Serial killer Michael Fisher seeks fame as an artist by arranging his victims in gruesome versions of famous paintings, such as Caravaggio's DAVID WITH THE HEAD OF GOLIATH. Karen, Nick's vindictive soon-to-be ex-wife, unwittingly becomes a potential victim. Bower's riveting delivery of intense dialogue, narrative, and subtle nuances of character keep this disturbing threesome believable as they try to destroy each other in a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
