It's a rich time for audiobooks that offer a fresh view of the Revolutionary War. Harvard historian Mary Beth Norton tracks the pivotal "long year" from the Boston Tea Party to Concord and Lexington, and the dramatic shift in public thinking that led to revolution. Norton, who spent more than 12 years on this project, addresses a general audience, but this is analysis more than storytelling. For instance, she explains why tea of all imports was so explosive a commodity. Farr is an expressive narrator who infuses drama into every sentence.
