A COFFIN FOR TWO

by | Read by Joe Dunlop

Mystery & Suspense • 10.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1997

Oz Blackstone, a young Scottish private eye, tells of his adventures in Spain with his beautiful mistress and partner. In addition to the case they're working on, which involves a brilliantly executed Salvador Dali forgery, they deal with such personal issues as their conflicting ambitions, rivals in love, Oz's father's wedding, and scenic Hispanic peregrinations. Perhaps a good narrator could bring focus to this romance-mystery-travelogue-domestic drama, but we have Joe Dunlop instead. He's intermittently animated in dialogue passages, but his reading is otherwise flat as a pancake. Y.R. © AudioFile 2004, Portland, Maine [Published: OCT/ NOV 04]
